ENROLLMENT OPENS UP AGAIN IN MAY!
DO YOU WANT TO LIGHT A FIRE UNDER YOUR CREATIVE BUSINESS?
The Tillage Village is a community for creative entrepreneurs who want to take their business to the next level, stay on track with their goals, and have support for their big hopes and dreams!
THERE ARE MANY LIMITING BELIEFS THAT INHIBIT OUR GROWTH AS CREATIVES, which can be a hard battle to fight on our own. No matter where you are on your journey as a creative entrepreneur, having the right mindset and community are the key to making progress on your goals.
Do you feel…
Alone in the creative entrepreneur journey?
Like you want a coach, but can’t afford the one-on-one pricing?
Plagued by procrastination and you aren’t making progress on your goals?
Trapped in the loop of your limiting beliefs and would like assistance in working through them?
Like you are always one step behind in your planner scrambling last minute?
In need of quiet space to look inward to make shifts inward and in your business?
Desperate for a place to freely ask business and art questions instead of scouring the internet?
Like you lack clarity in your business plan?
THE MISSION OF THE TILLAGE VILLAGE:
I believe that creatives NEED community.
I believe that stronger creative businesses are made through accountability and intentionality.
I believe that when we start working on our mindset that opportunities will be abundantly more clear and easier for us to take action on.
I believe that when we quiet ourselves through reflection and journaling we are more in tune with our hearts, our desires, and we can make more informed decisions.
I believe that knowing our “why” is critical to making a meaningful impact that is fulfilling.
“The Tillage Village is not just a group; it’s a tightly-knit community of like-minded individuals who genuinely care about each other’s success. Whenever I face challenges or doubts, I can count on the uplifting presence of fellow artists who are always ready to offer advice, share experiences, and lend a helping hand. The collective wisdom and diverse perspectives within the community have expanded my horizons and enriched my creative process.
In addition to the valuable support and inspiration, The Tillage Village is a haven for building genuine connections. I have loved participating in the live workshops, co-working sessions, and even had a chance to meet a few members in person. It’s truly uplifting to have a network of individuals who understand the creative journey and celebrate each other’s milestones.”

“I joined the Tillage Village at a time when I was feeling super stuck, uninspired and alone in my business. It seemed like all other mastermind or accountability groups out there were very niche to certain types of businesses or markets and as someone who's juggling a few different areas of my business, I couldn't find a place where I fit in.
When I stumbled across the Tillage Village, I instantly knew I'd find a home!
From the moment I joined, I felt a sense of belonging among a diverse and supportive group of creatives. We all come from different backgrounds and have different specialties, but we're all looking for accountability, community, and intentionality in what we do.
The workbooks, guest speakers and co-working sessions have been game changers for moving the needle forward for my business. I'm pretty sure I look back to the first workbook every second day and I'm so glad Shirlee made the reflection and planning so easy to tackle.
I've never fully been able to find what my purpose is as a creative and an artist, but the Tillage Village has helped guide me in that direction and filled my toolbox with tools to help me continue this journey. The community has been a haven for personal and business growth and I'm so happy to be a part of it!”

Tillage means…
The preparation of land for growth.
In the Tillage Village we will be doing the hard work of uprooting our limiting belief “weeds” so that our creative businesses can thrive and grow.
“The Tillage Village has been the creative community I hadn't realized I desperately needed. Until I started listening to the Tillage Podcast, I had not considered the impact of mindfulness work as related to my creativity or business. It turns out that mindfulness is an invaluable practice for navigating the many challenges of running a creative business. The community, workshops and other features of the Tillage Village have been the foundations of so much positive growth for me (in my creative business, but also rippling out into other facets of my life).
The guests Shirlee invites into the community to give workshops are always excellent and there seems to be something almost mystical in the way Shirlee and her guests present on topics that touch on the precise pain points our community is experiencing. If you are looking for a close-knit creative community that will cheer you on while you do the work behind the work, join us in the Tillage Village!”

This is for you if:
You are dedicated to show up and do the work. Making time to implement strategies discussed, show up to workshops, and put into application things learned in The Tillage Village is what will help you move you forward.
You will agree to give + engage. Creating a beautiful community takes participation and engagement. Being available to give feedback and cheer others on in the group is what will create a beautiful space.
You are willing to have a growth mindset. This space is going to stretch you and encourage you to dream bigger. Being open to be stretched and challenged will be imperative to your growth.
You are consistently creating as a business (or have intentions to start a business). Even if you are the early stages of starting a business, having a mindset as a creative entrepreneur is imperative to have your needs met in this community.
This is not for you if:
You don’t have the time. If you feel like your time will be limited to give space to complete worksheets, come to workshops, and watch replays then it is best if you wait for the next enrollment period, which is at the end of July.
Aren’t ready to give as much as you take. Asking questions and getting answers is what makes community so special. However, you must be ready and willing to be actively helping other members as well.
You are close minded. Our workshops are going to be filled with strategies and ways to help you grow and work on your mindset. Having an open mind and open heart is what is needed to be in this community.
You are consistently creating as a hobby. This space is for creatives who are actively starting or growing creative businesses. If you are simply creating without intending to sell your work or create a business, this won’t be the place for you.

Favorite Art Material(s): My favorite medium is what’s easily available at the moment I want to create... that could be watercolors, markers, colored pencils, or ink.
Favorite Inspiring Quote: Not sure if this counts, but the most helpful quote I recently discovered is: "Reset, restart, refocus... as many times you want." ~ from a Dove chocolate wrapper.
Favorite Aspect of The Tillage Village: From the coaching calls to guest speakers, co-working sessions and accountability program, it's hard to choose one favorite aspect of the Tillage Village. But I'd have to say the overarching energy of the community is my favorite part - the support, constructive feedback, encouragement, and inspiration.
“Joining the Tillage Village has seriously been the best decision I have made this year! Not only for me as an entrepreneur but also as a person.
When I first tuned into Shirlee's podcast, it felt like a ray of hope for someone like me, putting in the work to turn my creativity into a thriving business. And when I found out about the opportunity to be part of this community, I couldn't wait to sign up.
These past few months have been incredible. The workshops have been mind-blowing, helping me grow my mindset and confidence in what I'm building. But not only that – I've also met the most amazing, talented people with stories that inspire me every time that I get to speak with them. They encourage me to be better and keep hustling for my business dreams and whenever I need help they all are there to give me quality opinions and incredible advice for me to do the best for my business. It's like having a team of awesome folks cheering me on.”

NICE TO MEET YOU!
I'm Shirlee Fisher, host of The Tillage Podcast, illustrator, owner of stationery business Quiet Lines Design, mother of two, and a mentor for creatives based in Southern California.
During my time as a creative entrepreneur I have had to be strategic, set goals, have accountability, and work through my many limiting beliefs to get to where I am today. I leaned into community, have worked with a life coach, have built systems, and developed practices to help me push past my inner critic and start to believe in my abilities.
Now I get to share all of those nuggets with YOU and be alongside you in your creative business journey!
Aside from running the Tillage Village membership and hosting The Tillage Podcast I run my stationery business, Quiet Lines Design, where my cards can now be found in over 250 shops, including Paper Source, Terrain, and Anthropologie.
It brings me so much joy anticipating meeting and supporting YOU on your creative journey.
If you are in need of community, accountability, and intentionality in your art and business, I welcome you with the warmest hug to The Tillage Village.
“I cannot HIGHLY recommend Shirlee’s Tillage Village enough, which is a transformative haven for artists like me seeking support, guidance, and a nurturing environment to thrive.
Shirlee is a guiding force with her invaluable wisdom, shared through thought-provoking discussions and interviews with influential artists and their unique journeys, has expanded my perspective and refined my understanding of the creative process and the mindset shifts artists struggle with.
Hosting regular workshops with deep conversations within the community, Shirlee helps unpack and cope with the vulnerabilities by offering resources that free up that mental bandwidth to realistically achieve creative and life goals in general. As a bonus, assigning accountability partners helped me stay on track and constantly learn from each other's experiences, leading me to my goals quicker. Thank you Shirlee for the Tillage community.”
